Writing Beyond Comfort

"Nobody watched me before, now I am watched.
The tulips turn to me, and the window behind me
Where once a day the light slowly widens and slowly thins,
And I see myself, flat, ridiculous, a cut-paper shadow
Between the eye of the sun and the eyes of the tulips,
And I have no face, I have wanted to efface myself.
The vivid tulips eat my oxygen." - Tulips(excerpt) - Sylvia Plath
"The only successful pieces of writing are the ones that the writer bleeds into." - Penny

Plath is one of my heroes.

But, your quote is just as beautiful. Such a talented pretty pumpkin.

Thanks for the camera advice! I am a lost puppy when it comes to that stuff.

Breathe Me...god I love this song.

EM--Plath is one of the only authors to ever make me cry. I think that's powerful- art that moves in that way- whether it's paintings, writing, photography, music- or any other medium. and thank you so much for the compliment! I don't know if the sums of me will ever be equal to even one line of her writing in my own eyes, but that is the dream...and dreams are worth working for :)

I hope u find a great camera that doesn't go blurry like the photos on 'the ring'!

I've never read Plath but now I see why she's so popular. Wow. That was really beautiful.

You also left a lovely comment on my blog about your father. It was beautiful too. :-)

Can we discuss the ring you're wearing in your profile pic? I kinda need it. Please advise :)

And dreams are pretty much the only things worth working for, and I'm pretty confident you will achieve yours because you're FAB and I want to eat you up with a spoon.
