Holy Snow Cones!

I'm like 'Twilight' at the Teen Choice Awards! Raking em in! :)
Seriously tho- I'm so humbled that the incredible, Mariah Irvin at 'Constantly Risking Absurdity', gave me the 'Kreativ Blogger' Award. Writing and bringing my imagination to life is what I just adore, and I get to do that on my blog. It actually makes me a little teary eyed that someone out there may actually enjoy reading what I have to say, and thinks it's creative. I LOVE all of my friends here, and I am SO lucky to be able to connect with all of you who have similar interests as me! I only know ONE other writer who lives near me, so having writer/artistic friends here is something I won't take for granted. If this was 10 years ago, I'd probably be alone in that area :) So- Thank YOU, LOVES!! AND- THANK YOU, MARIAH!! HUGS!!!

Here are the rules:

1. Thank the person who nominated you for this award.

2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog.

3. Link to the person who nominated you for this award.

4. Name 7 things about yourself that people might find interesting.

5. Nominate 7 Kreativ Bloggers.

6. Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.

7. Leave a comment on each of the blogs.

-The Seven Things About ME-
1) I've always wanted black hair. When I was young, I wanted to look like Winnie Cooper from the Wonder Years. My fav actress is Zooey Deschanel, and my fav singer is Katy Perry. They all have black hair--I don't really know why I like it...It's a problem.

2) I've seen EVERY Food Network Cake Challenge! My favorite cake decorator is Mike McCarey of Mike's Amazing Cakes! YES! That's a CAKE!
3) My grandmother invented the biscuits at 'Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits'. She was working there when she was young, and had won a biscuit baking contest in New Orleans. At work one day, they asked her to show them her recipe. She made her biscuits, and they started making them-they actually added the "and Biscuits" part of the name because of the flaky yummies! Many people have asked her if she got royalties for the recipe-and she says "no"-They changed milk to buttermilk, and she's just proud to have her biscuits out there.

4) I punched a woman at a Best Buy once...She deserved it :)
5) I'm working on my Masters in Counseling Psychology and I will go on to get my doctorate. I can for sure say that the MOST helpful thing someone can do in any type of relationship is know their own personality and the personalities of those around them. Know that, and you can understand many reactions and motivations. You can find out your personality HERE!
6) I want to learn to play guitar and I want to take dance classes-Do they give beginners dance classes to adults?!
7) I love vintage and flirty clothes, and feel that what I wear is an extension of my personality. When I wear "work clothes", I often feel like I'm pale, washed out, and sad. When I wear something I love, I light up! :)
Awards Go To
(Like Mariah-I'm not doing 7-That's too many! I ONLY give awards when I'd give someone the award without first receiving it myself, SO- If you get any award from me, I've thought about it and you REALLY deserve it!:)

Jonas Wunderman at 'Beyond Wonderman' - The guy can WRITE!! His work is amazing-I've taken to calling it "Word Candy"! Some of his posts are short stories in their own right, and others are tales of life in VIVID description-Go to him if you want to see a mastery of the written word! For REALS!

Green Girl In Wisconsin - Her blog is everything that's gorgeous about nature. She lives on some beautiful land, and many of her posts are inspired by nature or are born out of the life she lives on it! She's just so full of...sunshine! I feel like I'm opening a door into a summer day when I open her blog-It makes me want lemonade.

Lightning In a Bottle - Whenever I read her blog, I wish I lived near her so I could go where she does. Her escapades and querkiness suck me in every time! The pics on her blog are incredible, AND she's a rare find in the blog world-The kind of person who has a wickedly fun sense of humor-if you were meeting in elementary school, you'd be sure to share your fruit roll up with her! LUVS ya, L!!

If you haven't visited these 3 blogs, buy your ticket-and hop on board, cuz you're in for a better ride than the tea cups at Disney World! :)

The way you nominate is so sweet!

Congrats on the Kreativ award! You def. deserve it. I loved reading your list. Sheesh, punched someone? LOL Not everyone could do that (not me) even if the lady deserved it. So did you break it down with your Masters and figure out what happened? LOL
As for wonder years, you know, I'd forgotten that I liked that girl too! She was so different looking and so pretty.
Black hair is nice. I get tired of everyone trying to be blonde. I think dark hair is gorgeous.

J- AHAHA! It was a HUGE surprise when I did it cuz I'm VERY slow to anger. My boyfriend and bestie both still crack up about it cuz it's so out of character for me. I really hate being angry-I HAVE actually looked back on that day to see what it was--I was having a family crisis and had been dealing with it all day- When my cell went dead at 8, I had to get a charger and was far from home- The line was SO LONG at Beat Buy to talk to the helper guy in the phones-I even went up there and said what was wrong and that I couldn't find the charger to fit my phone- THe woman the guy was helping(she was probably 70ish) was like, "Ummm..You're cutting. You need to wait in line! Don't help her!"--I waited ten minutes and she was still eating up her time. There were like 8 other people in line in front of me. I grew more and more upset, and the other people in line started yelling at her, she started yelling back, and then walked over to me and pointed in my face--That's when I just punched her. The whole area got super quiet, and the woman just stood there. The helper guy walked over and handed me a charger for my phone-I paid and walked out with no problem--It stayed really quiet.

Congratulations on the award dear Penny! I'm with you on Winnie's hair... that was my dream hair for decades. Wondering why you punched the lady at BestBuy!!?? :D And lastly, I really like the Tokyo Police club song, I saw them at Coachella about two years ago and that was my fave song of their set. I think it takes guts to put your band name in a song... something usually only reserved for hip hop right?? :)

First of all, that cake just blew my mind. WHOA.

And I can't believe your grandma invented those biscuits! A friend of mine is obsessed with Popeyes. I can't wait to tell him.

And yes, beginner dance classes are definitely offered for adults. :)

Congrats on your award!
