That was really funny. I also noticed the difference in the "skinny, long-legged" Beyonce in one vidoe, vs. the normal one in the other. Thanks for visiting my blog. Have you been to Paris?
Gutsy- It s sad--tho I've always felt that the false idea was put into MEN'S heads. I think most women KNOW we don't all look that way, but guys grow up not knowing that it's un-realistic. I think our desire to be thin in because we know what men expect because of the media, and we feel we've failed when we don't work out 2 hours a day like Gwyneth Paltrow...I've always been interested in the whole eating disorder/social expectations area of psychology--it's everywhere ALL the time. I'd be interested in learning about how lesbian women see beauty in women....hmmm....interesting :)
Although I agree with what you say, I also think that women judge other women more harshly than men do. I think the competition about being skinny is between women. Men usually prefer more flesh. Also, your last point about how lesbian women perceive other women is interesting, as would be the gay men issue. It might be the same.
:) Gutsy- I thought about what u said and I remember when a gay man told me I was hot in this re-sale shop a year ago---my friend said it must be true because gay men are the most critical of all.......hmmm....

Gutsy- I haven't- but it's one of my big dreams. One day-I will have macaroons for breakfast :)
ok, that made me laugh.
Funny stuff.
Gutsy, I also noticed the different before the longer legs. You know it's all fake in hollywood. :)
It's sad to give women a false idea though. Something that few can achieve.
