I agree with Katy that many girls in America love Japan-but I have to add that-in my experience, it's WHITE girls that love it! THIS site explains the phenomenon pretty well!
For me, Japan is like a huge-interactive- doll house with cute characters, whimsical clothes, and tiny houses.

I was a little shocked at all the light colored hair in the Japanese classroom. There's a lot of hair coloring going on over there. I swear Katy Perry's hair was the darkest in the room.
